GGUSD launched a Choose Wellness video competition to engage the student voice in an important district-wide Choose Wellness campaign that strives to increase awareness about mental health and socio-emotional well-being. High school student groups were encouraged to create a 60 second video that communicates the need to make mental health and wellness a priority and to end the stigma associated with getting help during a mental health crisis. A district committee selected one video from each high school to be featured on YouTube as part of the competition. Grant-funded cash prizes will be awarded to the high school group that created the video based on the number of YouTube likes.
