In 2017, the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education unanimously adopted Resolution 20 asserting the district’s ongoing commitment to provide safe and welcoming schools to all students and families regardless of nation of origin or immigration status. Resolution 20 reaffirms that the district treat all students equitably in the receipt of school services and provide referrals and resources to families seeking immigration-related assistance. The district has hosted several parent webinars with partner organizations such as Catholic Charities and World Relief to support families with questions related to immigration rights and resources.
