Coronavirus Update - 3/20/2020
Yesterday Governor Newsom declared a stay home executive order effective March 19, mandating individuals across the state to, except for essential services, remain in their homes to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Click here for the details. The order does NOT change our Grab and Go meal service or distance education, as these continue to be identified as essential services.
As part of Garden Grove Unified School District’s transition to at-home learning, the district is closing its schools and district office to the public effective Monday, March 23. The majority of GGUSD’s employees are working from home in accordance with the executive order. District staff is responding to calls and emails within 72 hours.
Schools have coordinated distribution of printed and digital learning packets and Chromebooks, and all teachers have plans in place to ensure students are supported while learning from home. Next week, GGUSD will launch an online toolkit packed full of resources to support students’ academic growth and mental health and wellness needs, as well as community-based services. We will continue to serve breakfast and lunch to GGUSD students at 13 locations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ayer, el gobernador Newsom declaró un mandato ejecutivo de quedarse en casa efectivo el 19 de marzo. Este mandato ordena a todas las personas en todo el estado que se queden en casa para evitar la propagación del COVID-19, excepto aquellas que cubren servicios esenciales. Como parte de la transición del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Garden Grove hacia el aprendizaje en casa, el Distrito cerrará el acceso del público a sus escuelas y su oficina principal efectivo el lunes, 23 de marzo. Ngày hôm qua, Thống Đốc Newsom đã ban hành lệnh bắt buộc mọi người dân trong tiểu bang không được ra đường, có hiệu lực kể từ ngày 19 tháng ba, trừ những sinh hoạt thiết yếu, nhằm ngăn chặn sự lây lan của vi khuẩn COVID-19. Vui lòng Nhấn vào đây để biết thêm chi tiết. Lệnh này KHÔNG ảnh hưởng đến chương trình phục vụ bữa ăn Grab and Go (Đến Lấy rồi Đi) hay việc học ở nhà, vì đây vẫn được coi là các dịch vụ thiết yếu.
Trong giai đoạn Khu Học Chính Garden Grove chuyển sang việc học tại nhà, bắt đầu từ thứ Hai, 23 tháng 3, các trường học và văn phòng học khu sẽ không mở cửa phục vụ cho công chúng. Phần lớn nhân viên GGUSD làm việc ở nhà theo lệnh đã ban hành. Nhân viên học khu sẽ trả lời điện thoại hay emails gửi đến trong vòng 72 tiếng.
Các trường học đã phân phối các tập tài liệu cho việc học dưới dạng giấy in hoặc kỹ thuật số và Chromebooks, các giáo viên đã soạn kế hoạch để bảo đảm học sinh được hỗ trợ trong khi học tại nhà. Tuần tới, GGUSD sẽ đưa lên mạng một bộ tài liệu và học cụ với nhiều nguồn tham khảo nhằm hỗ trợ học sinh trong việc học cũng như các nhu cầu về sức khoẻ tâm thần và sự lành mạnh, cùng các dịch vụ trong cộng đồng. Chúng tôi vẫn tiếp tục phục vụ bữa ăn sáng và trưa tại 13 địa điểm từ thứ Hai-thứ Sáu trong thời gian 11 giờ trưa đến 1 giờ trưa.
Chúng tôi hiểu rằng cơn khủng hoảng về y tế công cộng hiện nay đã đưa ra nhiều câu hỏi chưa có lời giải đáp cho các học sinh và gia đình về môi trường học tập mới của chúng ta.
