The Advanced Placement (AP) program allows students to participate in college-level studies while they are still in secondary school. Students can earn college credit by passing the AP Exam associated with each class and can also earn weighted GPA credits.

English Language Arts integrates reading, writing, listening and speaking, and language while using the state-adopted, board-approved curriculum.

English Language Development classes use state-adopted, board-approved curriculum. The goal for English Learners is to achieve and sustain high levels of academic, linguistic, and multicultural competency.

In the Spring of 2019,the GGUSD Board of Education adopted the textbooks for the History-Social Science program.

In 2013, the California State Board of Education adopted the most recent California Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The Intermediate and High School Math textbooks, adopted by the GGUSD Board of Education, are in alignment with the California CCSS.

In the spring of 2020, the GGUSD Board of Education adopted textbooks for K-12 Science and 7-12 Health.

Empowering Students Through Language:
