Secondary Programs

All secondary GGUSD schools have GATE programs that build on the advanced coursework students receive in elementary GATE classes. As students transition to intermediate school, they are given the opportunity to take advanced classes in mathematics (algebra and geometry) and English Language Arts (Advanced /GATE English). In Science and Social Science, GATE students are strategically placed with their intellectual peers and receive differentiated instruction to meet their unique learning needs.

All GGUSD high schools offer Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses. GATE students are encouraged to participate in these courses as well as to choose from a rich selection of course electives.
