GGUSD High Schools Ranked among Nation’s Best

All seven of Garden Grove Unified School District’s (GGUSD) comprehensive high schools earned high rankings on the prestigious 2025 America’s Best High Schools list published by U.S. News & World Report. GGUSD high schools ranked in the top 25% nationally among more than 24,000 high schools.
GGUSD’s highest ranked school, La Quinta High School ranked #23 in the Los Angeles metro area, #63 in California and #473 nationally. Additionally, Pacifica and Garden Grove high schools ranked in the top 10% in the state and Pacifica, Garden Grove and Bolsa Grande high schools ranked in the top 10% nationally.
“This is an incredible honor for our schools that showcases the tremendous dedication of our teachers and staff who truly equip students for college and career success,” said Board of Education President Lan Nguyen. “Year after year, our schools receive this national recognition for excellence which validates the academic rigor of our programs and the high-quality instruction across the district.”
U.S. News and World Report analyzes the data of more than 24,000 public high schools across the country and awards a national rank to the top 17,901 public high schools. The ranking reflects measurements on state math and reading exams, college readiness including Advanced Placement success, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.
