GGUSD Hosts Community Resource and Health Fair for Parents of Preschoolers
Wednesday, October 10, 2018
Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) invites parents of preschoolers to attend its 2018 Community Resource & Health Fair on Wednesday, October 17, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Clinton Corner Family Campus.
The event begins with the fair, which is designed to connect families with community agencies that provide resources and support to young children, and will include free health screenings and fun activities.
GGUSD Superintendent Dr. Gabriela Mafi and Director of Preschool Programs Emma Druitt will provide a presentation at 4:00 p.m. to equip parents with helpful information about preparing preschool students for academic success, communicating with their child’s school, and nurturing their child’s learning in the home. Parents will also have an opportunity to win prizes.
“GGUSD would not be as successful without the dedication of its parents and all that they do to help foster their children’s education at home,” said Teri Rocco, Board of Education trustee. “The Community Resource and Health Fair gives parents of our youngest learners the opportunities to get connected in our district and support the health and development of their child.”
The presentation will be in English and interpreted in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Korean. Child care will be provided for children age two through ten.
The Clinton Corner Family Campus is located at 13581 Clinton Street in Garden Grove.
