GGUSD to Host Choose Wellness Education and Resource Fair

Families across the Garden Grove Unified School District are invited to attend the Choose Wellness Education and Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fitz Intermediate Language Academy (4600 W. McFadden Ave., Santa Ana).

This free, family-friendly event will provide valuable resources and engaging activities designed to support student mental health and overall well-being. Attendees can enjoy student performances, access wellness resources, participate in health screenings, purchase food attend interactive workshops, and win prizes.

Event Schedule:

  • 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.: Resource Fair
  • 5:05 – 6:30 p.m.: Parent and Student Workshops
  • 6:35 – 7:00 p.m.: Student Performances

Parent Workshops Include:

  • Bullying Prevention and Intervention for Parents (Western Youth Services)
  • How to Support Your Child’s Mental Health (CHOC)
  • Managing the Stress of Parenting (GGUSD Social Workers)
  • Keeping Your Children Safe (Project Kinship)
  • Supporting Immigrant Families (Catholic Charities of Orange County, offered in Spanish)
  • What Families Need to Know about Youth Suicide (Didi Hirsch)
  • Gang Prevention 101 (GRIP, offered in Spanish)

Student Workshops:
Students will have the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate sessions, including:

  • How to Be an Upstander (Grades 4–8)
  • Building Healthy Relationships (Grades 9–12)
