Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) honored more than 650 employees for their years of service at the Annual Employee Recognition Program on December 11 at the district’s Don Wash Auditorium.  GGUSD Theatrical Services Supervisor Dave Fisher received a special recognition for reaching an impressive milestone of 40 years in the district and 25 employees were recognized for 35 years of service.

The Employee Recognition is a special event where longstanding employees are recognized on stage by Assistant Superintendents. Employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years proudly walked across the stage to receive a pin from members of the district’s Board of Education, Personnel Commission and Superintendent.

“Our district continues to excel because of the remarkable individuals who dedicate themselves to our students and families,” said Board of Education President Bob Harden. “We deeply appreciate those who choose to build their careers here at GGUSD and who help shape the positive, supportive culture that defines our community.”

An outstanding group of 56 employees were honored for 30 years of service, 130 were honored for 25 years, 165 employees earned 20 years of service, 38 employees were honored for 15 years of service and 239 employees reached their 10 year milestone.
